727-200 Modification

727 Panel
Two Pilot Cockpit configuration for the Standard Boeing 727 series.
In configuration without engine change as indicated by the three fire buttons.

This cockpit and avionics modification was to accompany a reengining program for the 727-200. SAI proposed the removal of the three JT8 engines and replacing them with two International Aero Engines V2500 engines. The two V2500 engines provided more thrust with less fuel consumption, while providing increased reliability. The V2500 engines easily comply with all FAA noise and emissions regulations, as well any foreseeable noise regulations. Snow Aviation has done preliminary research and design using the forward and aft fuselage section of a retired Boeing 727-200. Data was derived from detailed teardown and inspection. It was then analyzed to determine most common structural fatigue and corrosion problem areas for the 727 series aircraft.
